4th Working Group Meeting of FuTURE FORUM Held in
Hainan
The 4th working group meeting of FuTURE FORUM was
held in Holiday Inn in Sanya, Hainan province from
November 29th to December 1st of 2006. The meeting
was attended by Prof. You Xiaohu, Secretary-general
of FuTURE FORUM, Ms. Fujun, Vice Secretary-General
of FuTURE FORUM, and over 70 representatives from
the members as well as from the secretariat. Prof.
Wang Jing from Tsinghua University and Prof. Li
Shaoqian from UESTC were invited to attend the meeting
as distinguished experts.

Bilateral
meeting of Sino-South Korea government further strengthens
the international cooperation of the 4th generation
mobile communication technology |
On November 29, 2006, the 5th session
of the Sino-South Korea working committee for the
4th generation mobile communication was held in Hainan
province, China. Senior officials from the governments
of both countries gathered in China again to prepare
the important development strategy of the fourth generation

in Shanghai
The overall certification conference for the FuTURE
Project under National 863 Plan and the 4G Mobile
Communication Field Trial System was successfully
held in Shanghai Royalton Hotel on October 31st
of 2006. The conference was attended by over 100
representatives including the leaders of relevant
departments of MOST, MII and Shanghai Municipal
Government, the experts specially invited from Chinese
Academy of Science (CAS) and Chinese Academy of
Engineering (CAE), members of the FuTURE Project
Expert Group, and the principals from over ten units
responsible for the R&D of the FuTURE Project.

to Japan from September 25th to 26th
China and Japan has been diligently promoting the
communication and cooperation in the development
of B3G related mobile communication and made important
progress in the R&D of advanced technology since
MOST of China and MIC of Japan signed the cooperative
memorandum in August last year. Invited by Japanese
Government, the Chinese delegation paid a special
