November 7, 2008, Seminar on Development of LTE Technologies and Standards of FuTURE FORUM was held in SuZhou. Leaders from governmental authorities, industry representatives and experts of research institutes were invited to the meeting to discuss together the evolution of LTE technologies and its future development strategies.

Mr. Zhang Xinsheng, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Dept, MIIT; Mr. Xie Feibo, Deputy Director of Radio Regulatory Dept, MIIT; Mr. Zhou Xingguo, Chief of Spectrum Engineering Division of State Radio Monitoring Center, MIIT; Mr. Ni Xiaolong, Assistant Chief of Science and Technology Dept, MIIT attended the meeting. The Secretary-General of FuTURE FORUM, Professor You Xiaohu presided over the meeting. Deputy Director Zhang Xinsheng delivered an important speech, pointing out that LTE is the important direction for future development. During the process of promoting its development, international cooperation should be broadly developed, and effective mechanism should be established. He hopes that the forum could play an important role in international cooperation, drawing on collective wisdom and absorb all useful ideas from all parties to bring LTE technology research development to a climax. Whereafter, representatives from the 13 member units of the Forum made wonderful speeches respectively.
