The 2nd working group meeting of FuTURE FORUM in 2008
The 2nd working group meeting of FuTURE FORUM in 2008 was held from July 16 to 17 in Changchun, Jilin Province. Nearly 50 representatives from member units participated in the two-day meetings including seven group meetings and the summary meeting.
More than 40 papers inputted by the member units were discussed in each group meeting. On the basis of the completed preliminary analysis of users and systems, WG1 carried out analysis and discussion on tracking the latest research result of international standardization organizations. WG2 held a seminar on short-range communication technology and application, which focused on the application of NFC technology and UWB technology. The emergency communication business was also brought into the research of this group. Apart from the basic research, WG3 and WG5 held a joint meeting, discussing on the flexible utilization of spectrum. WG4 and WG6 discussed about various new air interface technologies and network frame technology. In the meanwhile, BWA Broadband group held the first meeting since the group founded, discussing and reaching a consensus on the group¡¯s future research direction and working methods.
In addition, all the groups jointly reviewed the seminar on emergency communication technology and development held in Yantai recently. The research progress of ITU meeting in Dubai and the paper call of WWRF meeting were also introduced in the meeting.
Compared to the last working group meeting , the second one had more detailed and specific concept of the inputted papers with simulation results; the extended discussion on technical program and the follow-up were also getting more and more perfect.
